AROUND BANDA ACEH (FEB. 9-12)

Largest mosque in Aceh   Crumbling tower in front of the mosque   PCI's Dr. Eka, Wilda & Yehti by the tower
Shopping mall collapsed in the earthquake   Just a little closer to the coast, where the Elephant Child docks in a canal   Fishing boat rammed into building
Tsunami commemoration   About 3 or 4 kilometers inland, along a canal   Surveying the damage
This area's largely cleaned up, but many uninhabitable buildings remain   Looking up the canal (the waves were over the bridge)   Boat being salvaged
